Mark Murphy

Recently retired, Mark began writing software in the time of floppy disks in Silicon Valley. His company’s projects included automating semiconductor factories, creating a video kiosk system for banks and new product prototypes. Later he joined Qualcomm, working in R&D to devise new uses for cellphones such as a family management application and visual recognition.

Mark received a BA from Stanford University in International Relations. Joining the board in 2023 his goal is helping Sky Valley students receive the same benefits of higher education that he has.

Mark lives in Gold Bar his partner and her two children.
