Let's take a quick look at the journey of one of our own who graduated back in 2012. He walked the same halls, faced the same tough classes, and now he's making some real change in public service, both as a Legislative Aide and as the Mayor of Sultan!

After graduating from Sultan High, he headed straight to the University of Washington in Seattle, diving into Political Science and earning a Bachelor of Arts.

Today, he's not just working behind the scenes but is taking the charge, thinking big about how to keep our community strong and prosperous in the future.

Back in his SHS days, he was part of the marching band, jazz band, and running the show in student government. He even got a taste of real-world politics as the Student Rep on the Sultan City Council during his junior year. Through it all, he kept his grades up and shined academically.

All that time in music and clubs like the National Honor Society wasn’t just for fun. It taught him how to manage big projects, communicate effectively, handle budgets, and much more. Those skills are proving invaluable now.

Here's a piece of advice he shared: jump in and get involved! He started with one major and switched up, tried different job paths, and kept pushing boundaries. Having a plan is great, but exploring new things and stepping outside your comfort zone is even better.
